The Fritzlar Cathedral of St. Peter, also called St. Petri Cathedral, is a former monastery and collegiate church. It is located in Fritzlar, in the Schwalm-Eder district of northern Hesse. Today, it serves as the Catholic city parish church. The church and monastery were founded around 723/724 by Saint Boniface. This marked the start of Fritzlar’s urban development.
