The church features twin towers and a grand western façade, known as the “westwerk.”

The construction process began in the early 12th century but continued into the Swabian era, spanning several decades. The design evolved over time, influenced by changing political and architectural needs. One significant feature is the ambulatory, embedded in the thickness of the walls, which allows for better movement around the building.
