The Roman Catholic Church of Our Lady, known as the Franciscan Church, stands in the heart of Salzburg’s Old Town. It sits at the intersection of Franziskanergasse on the south side and Sigmund-Haffner-Gasse on the west side. The church dominates the historic streets and forms a key part of Salzburg’s cultural and spiritual heritage. Architecturally, the church combines Romanesque and Gothic styles. The original Romanesque basilica features ribbed vaulting.
