The St. Mary, Queen of Peace Basilica is located in the busy Palayam/Cantonment area of Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. Moreover, it serves as an important center of faith, culture, and history. As a result, this news excited the faithful and church leaders. Soon after, Major Archbishop Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos dedicated the church as the St. Mary, Queen of Peace Basilica on 7 December 2008. The ceremony drew clergy, government officials, and community members. Furthermore, Kerala Minister for Law, Sports, and Youth Affairs M. Vijayakumar presided over a meeting that followed, highlighting the church’s importance as a spiritual and cultural landmark.
