The Sanctuary of San Girolamo Emiliani, officially the Basilica of San Bartolomeo and San Girolamo Emiliani, is located in Somasca, a town in the province of Lecco and the diocese of Bergamo. It serves as both the parish church and the main basilica for the Congregation of the Regular Clerics of Somasca, which San Girolamo Emiliani founded. As a result, the sanctuary holds great religious and historical importance for the community.

The sanctuary sits at the foot of the Sacred Mount of Somasca, which contributes to its tranquil and spiritual atmosphere. Moreover, it stands on the site of the original Church of San Bartolomeo, rebuilt by the Somaschi fathers in 1592. Over the years, the church expanded. In the 17th century, the fathers made several improvements to accommodate the increasing congregation. In 1959, Pope John XXIII elevated the church to the status of a minor basilica, acknowledging its significance. The basilica features three naves, each with remarkable elements.
