LyonCathedral, also called the Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist, stands on Place Saint-Jean in central Lyon, France. It honors Saint John the Baptist and is the seat of the Archbishop of Lyon.
Construction began in 1180 on the site of a sixth-century church. Builders worked for nearly 300 years and finished it in 1476. Despite the long time, it keeps a consistent Gothic style.

The total journey usually takes 40–50 minutes.

The nearest major railway station is Lyon Part-Dieu Station, which connects Lyon with Paris, Marseille, Nice, and other major cities via high-speed TGV trains.
