The Cathedral of Saint Stephen of Sens stands in the commune of Sens, in the Yonne department of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. Moreover, it dominates the historic city center and overlooks the Yonne River, which connected Sens to Paris in the Middle Ages. Cardinal de Pellevé led resistance against Henry IV in Paris from 1592 to 1594.
