The Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima stands between the municipalities of Cotia and Embu das Artes in São Paulo state. Furthermore, the Diocese of Campo Limpo governs its spiritual jurisdiction. The Clerical Society of Apostolic Life Virgo Flos Carmeli, connected to the Heralds of the Gospel, manages pastoral care and community outreach.

In 2004, Monsignor João Scognamiglio Clá Dias, founder of the Heralds of the Gospel, initiated the project by blessing and laying the cornerstone. Construction began soon after and progressed steadily due to the dedication of volunteers and clergy.

On May 11, 2014, Dom Luís Antônio Guedes, bishop of Campo Limpo, dedicated the basilica in a solemn ceremony. Bishops Dom Emilio Pignoli and Dom Benedito Beni dos Santos also attended. Hundreds of faithful traveled from São Paulo and other regions of Brazil to witness this important event.

Shortly afterward, on May 31, 2014, the Holy See elevated the church to minor basilica status. This honor recognized the community’s devotion and the basilica’s growing spiritual influence. Then, on January 25, 2015, the basilica inaugurated its bells. The bells were crafted by the renowned French foundry Fonderie Paccard. This marked the first time such bells were installed in Brazil, adding a unique cultural touch.

Overall, the basilica combines spiritual dedication with beautiful architecture. Consequently, it has become a cherished landmark inspiring local residents and visitors from afar.
